NBA: Anthony Edwards Signs Rookie Max Contract With Minnesota Timber Wolves
Minnesota’s All star guard Anthony Edwards signed a rookie max contract with the Timberwolves. Edwards, as per the deal may get up to $260 million in the fice year contract. The news was confirmed by Edwards’ agent Billy Duffy and Joe Branch to ESPN on Monday.
Edwards’ new contract will begin in the 2024-25 season, he becomes the fourth player to get the maximum rookie scale extension so far this summer joining players like Tyreses Haliburton, Charlotte’s Lamelo Ball, and Memphis Bane. His deal would reach the supermax level if hr makes an All-NBA team.
The Wolves now have three max players on their rosters in Edwards, Towns, and Centre Rudy Gobert.
The No 1 Draft pick, Edwards' has been one of the most explosive guards in the NBA. The guard has already joined the elite company of KD, Lebron James, and Carmelo Anthony in the list of most points before turning 22.
He has averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists in his third season.
Anthony Edwards' is the only NBA Player with 1,500 points and 100 steals in each of the past two seasons.

Anthony Edwards' was an All-Star for the first time this past season, and he has gotten better in each of his first three years with the Timberwolves.
