Last winning the tournament in 2020. There won't be many who would bet against him furthering that count.

Hailing from Spain, El Nino, Spain’s raging bull, Rafael Nadal, has entered the fourth round setting up his match with Fabio Fognini after comfortably beating Cameron Norrie in Round 3.

Next in our list of Australian Open 2021 stats is Daniil Medvedev. With wins dating back to November that includes title wins at the Paris 1000, the ATP Finals in London, and the ATP Cup, 25-year-old Daniil Medvedev is on a streak has gone 17 matches unbeaten. 

He currently stands in the fourth round of Australian Open 2021 after his closely fought match against Filip Krajinovic, winning the deciding set.

Casper Ruud looks to continue family traditions by becoming the 2nd Norwegian to make it to the last 16 of the Grand Slams. The first one being his father, Christian Ruud back in 1997. 

But Casper Ruud has taken it further by becoming the first Norwegian ever to win an ATP title and to make it into the semi-finals of an ATP Tour Masters 1000 event.

Aslan Karatsev has now won 24 breakpoints in this edition of the Australian Open 2021, which stands to be highest in the Men’s Singles. The Women’s singles is headed by Sara Errani, who also has won 24 breakpoints.

Becoming the oldest player to make a last-eight debut in the Open Era, Taiwanese veteran Hsieh Su-Wei has finally succeeded after 16 years of trying. 

Making her Grand Slam debut in 2005, She has never been able to go beyond the fourth round in the previous 37 attempts. The 35-year old overcame Marketa Vondrousova in the fourth round to achieve this feat.

Iga Swiatek, A Polish tennis player, claimed her 21st consecutive set in a Grand Slam, but Simona Halep ended the streak in the very next set going to win the match. 

Swiatek has a career-high ranking of No. 17 in the world and is the highest-ranked teenager in women’s singles. She won the championship at French Open and is the only Polish player to win a Grand Slam singles title in history.

Russian tennis player, Asian Karatsev reached the quarter-final and became the first Grand Slam debutant to do so at a major since Romanian Alec Radulescu at Wimbledon in 1996 and only the seventh in the Open Era. 

Since Australia’s Bernard Tomic, he is the first qualifier to achieve the feat and only the third ever at the Australian Open. How is that for an interesting fact in the list of Australian Open 2021 stats?

Nick Krygios leads the highest number of aces in the tournament with 69 aces as he ends his tournament with a loss against Dominic Thiem. While the Women’s singles is dominated by the Japanese National Naomi Osaka with 31 aces, who has progressed into the quarter-finals and will face the in-form Hsieh Su-Wei.

The final one in our list of Australian Open 2021 stats sees eight-time Australian Open Champion Novak Djokovic defeated Milos Raonic in four sets to advance to the quarters and register his 300th grand slam win. 

Having torn a muscle in the last round the Serbian had shown signs of pain and the match was a great test of his fitness. It's’ yet to be seen if Djokovic and makes it all the way to the final.
