Didier Deschamps to get Pogba out of Manchester United fiasco
The World Cup-winning player and manager Didier Deschamps has revealed that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is not interested in his life at Old Trafford.
Several ex-players, pundits, and media have been commenting on Pogba’s future at the club despite the Frenchman agreeing that he is pleased to be at the club.
The reason for this fiasco is Pogba mentioning his desire to play for Real Madrid in the future during the last international break. The 27-year-old has only started twice for the Red Devils since the humiliation from Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.
From Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s view, who is the Manchester United boss at the moment, the reason for his limited playing time is his fitness.
The 2018 World Cup winner missed almost 80% of the 2019-20 season and that is something the Red Devils don’t want as they are doing well in the Champions League too. On the other hand, irrespective of the injuries he’s had, Pogba still remains the first-choice midfielder for his national team coach.
When asked about his situation at United, Deschamps said, “I know Paul well and he knows the squad well. He finds himself in a situation with his club that he cannot be happy about. Neither in terms of his playing time nor his position. He’s in a difficult period, he’s had a string of injuries, and COVID-19 has also affected him adversely. He needs to rediscover his rhythm.”
The France boss also praised him for his performances in his previous games for the national team despite the lack of rhythm. The interesting part begins here as Deschamps also declared openly that he will personally talk to the player about his situation, in the hope to see the midfielder play much better perhaps with free-flowing confidence.
Deschamps was convinced that the 27-year-old won’t shy away from him and he would openly share how he feels.
