Agarwal, seamers propel India to an enthralling win against Bangladesh in Indore

The home domination continues for the Indian team as they wrapped up the first Test against Bangladesh in Indore inside three days. 

The match clearly signified the gulf in terms of quality between both the sides. It was a superb effort from the hosts as Bangladesh were no match for the No.1 ranked Indian side. 

Despite winning the toss on Day 1, the visitors were rendered helpless after they had no answers to India's pace troika on Day 1. 

It was an exhibition of quality and control from the Indian pacers as Bangladesh were bundled out for a paltry score of 150 in their first innings. The seamers inflicted most of the damage, while spinners got only three wickets. 

During India's batting, Mayank Agarwal once again made his worth felt in this Indian Test team. The Karnataka lad registered his second double hundred just in his eighth Test playing for India. 

Despite no contribution from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, India piled a total of 493 for 6 and declared overnight on Day 2. The other major contributions came from the bat of Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja and Cheteshwar Pujara. 

With only ten wickets to claim to go 1-0 in the series, Indian fast bowlers once again got their act right and went for wickets from the word go. 

India accounted for four wickets in the first session, and saw an end to a possible miracle from their neighbours. 

Though resistance did come with a 63-run partnership between Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim, it was never enough to even get anywhere close to India's mammoth first innings total.

In the end, the Bangla Tigers were all out after Tea on Day 3 as India secured a comfortable victory by an innings and 130 runs. 

It was a marvellous efforts from the pacers, who saw 14 wickets to their name, with Ravichandran Ashwin claiming only six in the entire match. 

Mohammed Shami was the standout bowler with a 7-wicket haul in the Test match. His menacing pace and form, complemented by Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav, proved too good for the Bangladesh batters. 

With this win, India take an unassailable 1-0 lead in the series as they head into the pink ball Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 

It will be a historic occasion in India'a cricketing history as the world beaters get ready to embrace a new challenge in the traditional format of the game.
