Inter and Arsenal enter talks regarding a sensational swap deal
Premier League giants Arsenal have been offered the services of Mauro Icardi in a sensational swap deal with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, if reports in Italy are to be believed.
The 27-year-old Argentine striker, whose wife Wanda Nara is also his agent, is right now plying his trade for Paris Saint-Germain, on loan from Inter.
However, it is not clear as of now if the Ligue 1 champions want to sign the 27-year-old permanently.
It is also strongly claimed that he will not be welcomed back into the Inter squad after his massive fallout with coaches and the board last year.
Icardi was stripped of the captaincy at that time during a dispute over his £170,000-a-week wage demands.
His deal with the Serie A club runs out in 2021 and it was hoped that Paris Saint-Germain would want to sign the Argentine on a permanent basis after his excellent spell on loan at Parc des Princes.
Should Antonio Conte not fancy bringing him back, it is claimed he could be offered to Arsenal but only with Aubameyang going the other way.
The Gabon international has been strongly linked with an exit from the emirates in the summer with Inter emerging as a potential destination for the 30-year-old.
There have been speculations that the Gabon international could be available for just £30million with just one year left in his contract.
The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with the former Borussia Dortmund superstar and are set to be reportedly keen on snapping him up.
Reports even claimed that the former Borussia Dortmund striker was already in talks with Inter over a deal.
And, now reports in Italy report the possibility on a sensational swap deal. In fact, a swap between Aubameyang and Icardi could satisfy both parties.
Inter have been in the market for a new striker, despite former Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku impressing since he joined.
They could lose Lautaro Martinez in the summer with Barcelona said to be keen on the complete forward hailing from Argentina.
They have also been linked with RB Leipzig and German star Timo Werner who has been sensational in Bundesliga this campaign.
But the 24-year-old is said to have snubbed Inter and everyone else in favour of a £51m move to Liverpool this summer.
