Manchester United determined to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot

Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly sent scouts to watch Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot in action several times this season. It is strongly reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is preparing a summer move for the out of favour French midfielder.

As per reports in Italy, Manchester United scouts were present during all of Juventus' Champions League games. The 25-year-old, however, just started three of those games, while coming in from the bench in three games.

Despite the fact that Rabiot has struggled to make a mark at Juventus after leaving PSG on a free transfer last summer, the Frenchman is reportedly among the most coveted players in whole Europe right now. It is strongly claimed that he is being chased by a number of Premier League giants including Manchester United.

Despite signing Bruno Fernandes and his superb start to life at Old Trafford, Solskjaer is still looking for further additions to his midfield and is believed to be a huge fan of Rabiot.

Paul Pogba's uncertain future makes things a lot worse for the Red Devils. Real Madrid are reportedly leading the race for the signature of the Frenchman for as little as £70 million. This is much much lesser than the supposed fee of £150 million United would demand, figures having taken a battering due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Pogba's contract runs out in 2021, making this summer theoretically vital in the Red Devils securing a fee for the 27-year-old. However, they do possess a useful 12-month automatic extension that could be triggered by the club, even if it frustrates the World Cup winner.

Last week, it was reported the Red Devils would do so if a bid of at least £83 millin did not arrive at the end of the season. It is believed that Rabiot is eyed as a replacement for Pogba and he could certainly prove to be a very decent choice if the Red Devils have to lose the controversial Frenchman.
