NBA Finals: Miami vs. Denver Game 3
NBA Finals Miami Vs Denver Nuggets : Game 3 Preview
After blowing a late lead in Game-2 Jokic and Nuggets made a convincing comeback with a 109-94 win over the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Thanks to Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray who both had their triple-doubles in a win against Miami Heat, Nikola Jokic HAD 32 POINTS, 21 REBOUNDS & 10 assists, whereas Jamal Murray had 34 POINTS, 10 REBOUNDS & 10 assists, every time it felt like Miami was trying to generate some momentum- like they might build up a lead early or cut into their deficit later- there was Jamal Murray with the Answer. The Denver Nuggets made an effort from the start of game 3 to re-establish the Jamal Murray – Nikola Jokic two-man game:10 screens in the first quarter leading to 12 points, finding good looks whether Miami dropped, switched, or played closer to the level of the screen.
The Heat didn’t play Game 3 on their terms, missed rebounds, missed shots, and bodies, it was an unexpected sight for the Heat in their first home Finals game in nearly 10 years.
The 109-94 Nuggets win not only reset home court for Denver but seemingly took away some of the toughness, the Numbers, even more so than Jokic32-21-10 night and Murray's 34-10-10 showing, were ghastly.
By far, the greatest performance as a Duo in their 7 years together, Denver Nuggets Coach
“We lost a lot of physical 50/50 or ball-in-the-air, ball-on-the-floor battles throughout the course of the game, at key moments,” Spoelstra said.” When the moment could have been swing moments, they were coming up with those plays.
Spoelstra knows going shot-for-shot with the Nuggets will result in a quick exit in what could be a competitive, up-in-the-air series, The Denver Nuggets have too much firepower and still haven’t gotten Michael Porter Jr untracked yet.
The Miami Heat were outrebounded by 25, only picking up 33 rebounds total- with Bam Adebayo (17) collecting more than the rest of his teammates combined.
The Miami Heat can lose games because opponents are more talented than them. Miami Heat are outmuscled on their home floor.
Nikola Jokic is the first player in NBA history to record 30+ points, 20+ rebounds, and 10+ assists in a final game.
Nikola Jokic become the seventh player to have two triple-doubles in the same finals, joining the likes of Magic Johnson, Lebron James, Draymond Green, Wilt Chamberlin, Larry Bird, and Jimmy Butler,
Game -4 will be on Friday night where the pressure will be on Miami to tie up the series avoiding falling into 3-hole.
