"Pogba and Fernandes can be an amazing pair if they compromise," says Garry Neville

Gary Neville took Twitter to answer questions around Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes and Manchester United’s future transfer policy. Portugal midfielder Fernandes was an instant impact after he finally arrived in a deal worth up to €67.6m in January before coronavirus pandemic brought a halt to his and United’s momentum.

As things stand, Fernandes has three goals and four assists in nine games as a Manchester United player but he is yet to play alongside Paul Pogba, who has not featured since December due to an ankle injury. The Red Devils were in a very impressive run of form with being unbeaten in 11 games and former United defender Neville has high hopes for Pogba and Fernandes playing and working well together.

Answering a question regarding the two on Twitter, Neville said, “They could be amazing together if they compromise and work to help each other.” Neville also spoke about United’s possible stars to get their hands on the Ballon d’Or someday and Neville feels that the answer to this question is the Frenchman again.

When asked about Manchester United’s plans in the transfer market, Neville said, “The transfer policy has changed in the last two seasons so I would hope not.” Neville was reluctant to name any personal favorites he would like to see in the United colors but claims that he likes the “20-25-year-olds.”

According to him, United must sign players who have another level, a level better than their actual game when they start representing Manchester United. Manchester United are among the big clubs who are daily linked with some or the other player. However, for Manchester United, Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish are looked upon as realistic targets while the future of Paul Pogba remains a mystery, a mystery that only the Frenchman can solve.
