Manchester United legend Roy Keane wants Harry Kane at Old Trafford

Manchester United legend and former skipper Roy Keane has given his former club the solution to their goal-scoring issues. As per Keane, the Premier League giants should sign Spurs’ superstar Harry Kane.

The Red Devils have been struggling in front of the goal for quite some time and they are now short on numbers as well. Romelu Lukaku left this summer for Internazionale with Alexis Sanchez also joining him at San Siro, albeit on a loan spell.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men have scored just thirteen goals in ten Premier League matches this season, with Marcus Rashford reviving them to an extent in the last match. They are placed seventh on the table with just five points separating them from the relegation zone. 

Keane has stated that the club needs to break the bank to sign England skipper Harry Kane in order to rebuild their attack. Spurs are also struggling this season and Keane believes that it presents the ideal opportunity for the Manchester based side to sign the talismanic forward. 

Keane stated, "Just go and get Harry Kane from Spurs, easy. You look at me as though I am not being serious. Go and buy him. He scores 25 goals a season with his eyes shut. They are in disarray, go get him." 

Marcus Rashford is United's top-scorer so far in the league this season with five goals. He has just one goal more than newly-signed Daniel James, who has made quite a mark for himself since his arrival from Swansea City. 

Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay are the two other players to have found the back of the net this season, which speaks for how much trouble the club are in. They are craving a world-class centre-forward and Kane is certainly one of them. 

It is public knowledge that Manchester United have been long interested in Kane but at this moment, the England international joining the Red Devils looks pretty unrealistic. Kane is at the peak of his career and needs to step up in his career and United at the moment certainly is not heading in the right direction. 

Kane has remained committed to Spurs this summer. He remained with the north London giants, who nurtured him at their academy. However, sooner or later, he will certainly move on as he seeks silverware. He is one of the best players upfront and it would be quite a big deal for Manchester United if they can actually convince the 26-year-old to join them.
