Serie A restart: Everything you need to know as football returns in Italy

Torino and Parma will get Serie A underway on June 20, with the season concluding on August 2. Serie A has revealed the provisional dates for all remaining fixtures and Torino’s meeting with Parma at the Stadio Olimpico will be the first Serie A game since the league was suspended.

There are three more games lined up that weekend and all kick-off times for games up to and including matchday 35 have been set, with weekend fixtures scheduled for 17:15, 19:30 and 21:45 local time (15:15, 17:30and 19:45 GMT) in order to avoid intense afternoon heat during the Italian summer.

There will be only six days between June 20 and July 23 without at least one Serie A fixture. All games on the final day of the season are provisionally scheduled to kick-off at 21:45, though this could be split into different blocks depending on the situation in the table.

Italy’s domestic season, however, is set to kick-off with the second legs of the Coppa Italia semi-finals on June 13, though only a June 17 date for the final has been officially confirmed. The Champions League and Europa League will be resuming in August.

Serie A will be very interesting as Juventus and Lazio are on just one point difference while the others have at least a gap of more than five points with Internazionale being on 54 points, having played one game less.

The Lazio man has a significant six-goal lead but one thing that all the football fans know is nothing is impossible for Cristiano Ronaldo and the race is expected to run till the last fixture of the league. 

The best playmaker award also has a tough competition with Luis Alberto leading with 12 assists while Alejandro Gomez is just two behind with ten assists.
