India’s women’s cricket team played their first One Day International (ODI) in 1978. While the Women in Blue are still chasing their first Women’s ODI World Cup title, they have given the cricketing world some truly remarkable batters over the years.
Reshma Gandhi made history in 1999 by becoming the first Indian woman to score a century in an ODI. Since then, 13 other Indian women have joined the elite list of ODI centurions, with seven of them scoring hundreds more than once—showcasing the growing strength and depth of India’s batting lineup.

5. Jemimah Rodrigues – 2

Jemimah Rodrigues is one of the few Indian women cricketers to score multiple centuries in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Since making her debut in 2018, she has become a key player in the Indian women’s team. So far, Jemimah has played 50 ODIs, scoring 1,439 runs at an average of 32.70. She has notched up two centuries in the format, both coming in 2025 — one against Ireland and the other against South Africa.
4. Punam Raut – 3

Punam Raut is one of only three Indian women cricketers to score two or more centuries in Women's ODIs in a single calendar year. Between 2009 and 2021, she represented India in 73 WODIs, scoring 2,299 runs at an average of 34.83.
Raut notched up three centuries in her ODI career, with standout performances against Ireland, Australia, and South Africa. Two of those centuries came in 2017 — a remarkable year for her, during which she averaged an impressive 59 with the bat.
3. Mithali Raj – 7

Mithali Raj retired with one of the most iconic careers in women’s cricket. She is one of only two Indian women to score a century on debut in Women’s One Day Internationals (WODIs).
Over the years, Mithali set numerous records in the game — including the most runs in WODIs, the longest career in the format, and the most consecutive half-centuries. Her consistency and grace at the crease made her a legend of the sport.
In her remarkable career, Mithali played 232 WODIs, scoring 7,805 runs at an outstanding average of 50.68. She notched up seven centuries and, on five other occasions, narrowly missed out with scores in the nineties.
2. Harmanpreet Kaur – 7

Harmanpreet Kaur is one of the biggest stars in Indian women’s cricket. She's the only Indian woman cricketer to score multiple centuries in One Day Internationals (WODIs) in two different calendar years—a rare and remarkable feat.
Kaur made her WODI debut back in 2009 against Pakistan. Since then, she has represented India in 149 matches, scoring 4,069 runs at an impressive average of 37.67, including seven centuries.
Her centuries have come against some of the top teams in the world—three against England, and one each against Bangladesh, Australia, West Indies, and South Africa.
1. Smriti Mandhana – 11

Smriti Mandhana holds the record for the most centuries (11) by an Indian women’s batter in One Day Internationals (WODIs). A standout modern-day opener, she has been a consistent run-scorer for India and is especially dominant when chasing targets.
Since making her WODI debut in 2013, Smriti has played 105 matches, scoring 4,588 runs at an impressive average of 46.34 — a testament to her class and reliability at the top of the order.
