Bayern Munich heads to the Weser Stadium to face Werder Bremen as they look for three points to win their eighth consecutive Bundesliga title.

The Bavarians are running away with the title as they proved once again that they are miles ahead of their counterparts. Led by a rampaging Robert Lewandowski, Bayern have demolished everything that has come their way and are set to win the Meisterschale.

Werder, on the other hand, is fighting a relegation battle as they sit 17th in the table. Everything is on the line for the River Islanders as they look to survive in the top tier of German football.

Niclas Füllkrug returned from injury in the last game to give a huge boost to Werder Bremen. Leonardo Bittencourt and star man Milot Rashica could both start after minor niggles.

For Hans-Dieter Flick’s side, starman Robert Lewandowski is available for this clash as he returns from suspension. Philippe Coutinho and Corentin Tolisso are both ruled out but Thomas Mueller is available again.

Lewandowski is arguably the best striker on the planet. The World-class Pole has already raked in 30 goals this season as he chases Gerd Muller's record of 40 goals in a season.

The Pole missed Bayern's last game because of suspension and he would like to make amends. This spell trouble for the River Islanders as he has an impressive record against them. The former Dortmund star has netted 18 goals in 20 games against Werder and won 19 of their 20 encounters.

Moisander has been performing consistently  for Werder over the season and he has to play the game of his life to stifle the threat posed by Lewandowski.

Milot Rashica vs Benjamin Pavard

Rashica was on the scoresheet the last time these two teams faced each other. The Kosovo national has also been the highest goal scorer and assist provider for the River Islanders and will pose the biggest threat to the Bavarians. 

He will face-off against Pavard for supremacy on the left wing. The French World Cup winner has been a consistent performer and is adept at attacking as well as defending.

If Pavard neutralizes the Rashica threat, half of Werder’s attacking prowess will be diminished.

It will be an uphill task for the River Islanders as Bayern have won their last 18 matches against them in all competitions. Bayern have also won their last ten matches in the league and have outplayed their opponents in every aspect of the game.

On the contrary, Werder have failed to score in eight of their last nine home matches in the Bundesliga. They have also lost nine of their last 10 home matches in the league.

Werder Bremen has the worst home record in the Bundesliga with just one win, whereas Bayern have the best away record in the league. This will be a long night for the River Islanders and we predict a heavy defeat for them.
