2022/23 Football Transfer Window | Signings, Rumors, and Gossips

We are just two weeks away from the new season, and the signing of new players is still taking place, and clubs have made many acquisitions to reinforce their squad to compete at a higher level. 

And this article will list down the top signings so far, gossip and transfer rumors.  

This season's transfer market has been unrelenting, with several clubs making significant additions to bolster their roster for the next season. Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Tottenham are the most active clubs in the transfer window.

While the other major teams have made sufficient recruits to boost their squads, the clubs mentioned above, however, are still looking to add players for the upcoming season.

Barcelona

Signings: Barcelona now has the advantage in the transfer market after signing Raphinha from Leeds and renewing Dembele's contract after he was reluctant about renewing it.

Transfer Rumors: Barcelona believes that adding Robert Lewandowski is only a matter of time. Bayern Munich is willing to take €45 million in fixed and variable fees for Lewandowski, and they are also leading the race to sign Jules Kound from Sevilla, despite the Frenchman's preference for Barcelona.

Gossip: Manchester City wants €100 million for Bernardo Silva, who wants to move to Barcelona.

Manchester United

Transfer Rumors: Manchester United has now struck a comprehensive deal with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong, with an €85 million package. However, the personal conversation remains a problem because De Jog does not want to leave Barcelona.

Christian Eriksen, the Danish midfielder, has accepted terms with Manchester United, and it is just a matter of time before he joins them.

Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale and will remain at the club next season, but according to sources, the 37-year-old offered himself to PSG, who turned it down.

Signings: However, they have eventually signed Tyrell Malacia for a reported amount of £12.9m and are currently closing in on a deal with Argentine defender

Chelsea

Signings: Chelsea have finalized the purchase of Raheem Sterling for a price of £45 million. Chelsea are also set to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli after reaching a $40 million deal.

Transfer Rumors: has it that the Blues are interested in PSG center-back Presnel Kimpembe, but no negotiations have yet taken place. Chelsea are currently trailing Manchester United in the battle to acquire Frenkie de Jong, as Manchester United has made a new offer to Barcelona, and it looks that both clubs have negotiated an agreement.

Arsenal 

Signings: The Gunners successfully signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City for $55 million this summer. Arsenal improved their midfield with the £34 million signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto. Aside from that, there is a new acquisition.

Transfer Rumors: The Gunners have been linked with Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko, Lyon's Lucas Paqueta, and N'Golo Kante and are battling with City for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

Tottenham

Spurs will return to the Champions League after a two-year sabbatical under new manager Antonio Conte. Spurs have made significant signings to compete with Europe's top clubs.

Their first free transfer was Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, followed by Fraser Forster from Southampton and Yves Bissouma from Brighton for £35 million. Richarlison - Everton, £60 million, and Clement Lenglet from Barcelona, on loan.

Transfer Rumors: Tottenham have sought a number of players for summer additions, although it is doubtful that they will sign all of them. Tottenham have been linked with Pau Torress, Memphis Depay, Jules Kounde, Alessandro Bastoni, and Lautaro Martinez.
